About me

Entrepreneur focused on software that works

I'm Yenthe Jannis, developer and entrepreneur with a background in Applied Computer Science — Application Development. Analytical, hands-on and driven to ship software that actually helps the people who use it.

Curriculum vitae

A complete overview of my education, experience and skills is available in my CV.

Not every portfolio has this — but these are facts.

What sets me apart

Mobile production

App Store & Play Store releases

MotoConnect updates go through Apple App Review and Google Play review cycles. I've learned to deal with review times, version numbers and the fact that users don't always update immediately.

SaaS production

Query optimisation & infrastructure costs

With Creya I pay the bill every month. That forces me to think about query optimisation, server-side caching and avoiding N+1 problems — not as theory, but because it costs money.

Production experience

Bugs on live users

A bug in production with hundreds of active users has a different urgency than a school project. I've learned how to isolate quickly, ship a fix and verify the problem is resolved.

Soft skills

Problem-solving

I break complex questions into workable steps and look for a solution that fits the context, not only the symptoms.

Communication

I translate technical decisions into clear language for clients, fellow students and end users.

Self-direction

As an entrepreneur I plan my work around deadlines, deliverables and priorities.

Teamwork

I take on the role of analyst, developer or team lead depending on what the team needs.

Curiosity

I actively follow new technologies and apply them in my own projects to keep my skills sharp.

Technical skills

These competencies were built through my course units and personal projects.
